Dave Lingafelt is the President and General Manager of WXRC/WAIZ/WNNC serving the Charlotte/Hickory markets and the western part of the State.

He dreamed of being on the radio as a little boy and was able to get his start at the age of 17 in his hometown Morganton at WMNC.  Dave is still playing radio today, on the air every day on WNNC Oldies 101.3FM and WAIZ 63 ‘Big Ways Radio’ as part of a four-man morning team known on-air as the Wacky Wake-Up Crew, telling listeners the show wakes you up better than a double expresso.

Dave was inducted into the North Carolina Association Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2020 and is the recipient of numerous awards in broadcasting and throughout the local community.

Dave credits his wife Janet as an essential part of his radio career, working alongside him the entire time, as a huge part of their mutual success.

Dave is grateful for all the people who gave him opportunities in radio. Both in employment and in ownership, Dave tries to say thanks by passing on opportunities to others who want to be in radio.
